We Are Music

Isn’t it obvious? The reason music moves you so?

The way your body automatically starts moving to the pulsing beat …the instinctive nodding of your head to the rhythm…. it points to the music that resides deep within.

Oh friend.  You and I . . . we were created musically.

You were created to dance.

to worship. to sing. to play.

It’s no accident.  It’s not some random mistake.

Have you ever heard about Molecular Music?  When the DNA of our very own cells are assigned music notes, it ends up making beautiful melodies. Planted deep in your heart is a melody. A rhythm.

Maybe it’s been a while since you’ve tuned into it… but still yourselves and listen now. It beckons you to come, dance, enjoy the pleasure of being in the Lord’s company – the honor of being invited to his feast.

Turn up the volume of His loving serenade.

Get lost in His powerful melody for a while.

Let it take you away today.  What can it hurt?

Collosians 3:16  “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

Psalm 100:1-3   “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

2 Samuel 6:14  “And [King] David danced before the LORD with all his might.”

  1. BEAUTIFUL! I was just concidering tearing off down some random street dancing before the Lord… no SERIOUSLY I was… right about when you were writing this. Weird? Maybe. I wonder what the reaction would be if we did that… hmmm…

    • That’s great! haha! I think it’d be great if we all did a lot more of that. The reaction? Some people would think us crazy for sure, but more people would surely be jealous of such joyful freedom.
