Lord help me when I’m tired of the battle.

Help me when everyday pain just becomes a bit too much.  Sometimes all the little things all the things that I want to dismiss as nothing but that are actually kind of big somethings . . . pile up until I feel like the only thing left to do is pull the blankets over my head and wait for it all to disappear. Like that would happen!

In the midst of that . . . I cling to hope.

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed

That I would see the goodness of the Lord

In the land of the living. “ – Psalm 27:13

I cling to the belief that good will prevail, and I will see it with my eyes.

I will be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12).

I will ask for your wisdom in these situations. (If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:5)

I will wait on you. You always strengthen my heart  (Ps 27:14).

  1. Amy,
I’m praying for you. I’ve wished for the blanket so many times this year in particular. I’ve discovered that the only way through the battle is, well, through the battle – sometimes with head down and eyes closed running as fast as I can. I’m glad you know Jesus!
